2024 Dew Days Parade Volunteers

June 23rd

Parade starts at 12:00 p.m.

PARADE VOLUNTEERS will meet up with the band at the fairgrounds, 30 minutes before the parade. During the parade, all volunteers will walk with the band, focusing on keeping them cool with spray water bottles. After the parade, volunteers will hand out water to students.

Please wear tiger shirts (Tiger Band orange spirit shirt if you have one). We will have spray bottles for you to use.

WATER DONATIONS: If you want to watch the parade but still would like to help, we also need water donations. Two people will each bring 100 bottles of water in a cooler with ice (so we have a total of 200 bottles) to the fair groundsbefore the parade. Please label and drop off your cooler by the school buses before the parade- someone in an orange spirit shirt will be able to help you. Usually, the buses park inside the gate by 2nd Street. You will be able to park at the fairgrounds if you like so it is easier to pick up your cooler up after the parade. The parade starts on 3rd Street so you can just walk down 3rd to find a spot to watch the parade.

The Farmington Tiger Band program cannot function without the help of parent volunteers.  We use the online tool Signup Genius to help facilitate our volunteer needs.  While the Marching Band program relies most heavily on volunteers, all band programs have occasional volunteer opportunities.  Please check back often to see where you can help and be a part of your student's music education! If you have any questions about volunteering with the Band, please click to email Tina Markeson, Volunteer Director.

The smallest contribution can make a large impact.  Thank you!
